A Little Dance History of Miss Mallory Young....

  • From the young age of 3, I danced with Dawn and Terri Axam @ Total Dance Company, Atlanta, GA!; Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet and Tap! 
  • Around the age of 5, I danced with "Debbie's School of Dance", under Ms. Deborah Bennett!; Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Baton Twirling; First experience of competitive dancing!
  • Around age 11, I joined Cobb Community Dance Theatre in Powder Springs, GA. Under the instruction of Ms. Shirley and Deborah Orchard, Tap and Jazz technique; Competed and went to dance conventions.
  • Around age 13, I joined The Dance Factory Inc., under Ms. Deborah Daniel-Wells. Techniques including, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Lyrical. Learned good sportsmanship and humility!; Gained better performane quality; Grew from every situation in dance.
  • While with TDF Inc., I won the title "Miss Dance America 2003" at Kids Artistic Revue at the age of 16.; Began teaching and choreographing (solos, duets, trios, and small groups), most pieces ranking in the TOP 5 of their categories at multiple competitions; Continued to dance with this company until the age of 20.
  • Began at Brenau University as a Dance Education Major at the age of 18; Pointe (ballet) and Modern Dance-based dance program.
  • I also dance in the Brenau Dance Ensemble, a Ballet and Modern based company founded by the Brenau Dance Department. I danced with BDE my freshman and sophmore year! .
  • I've done many field experiences, observing and teaching at public and private schools such as, Parkview High School in Lilburn GA, Woodward Academy in College Park, GA, and Centennial Arts Academy in Gainesville, GA.  I've also participated in many student choreography shows, as well as creating my own pieces!!!
  •  Meanwhile, I am currently working for Northeast Georgia School of Music and Dance, under Danielle and Justin Holland. There I am a teacher of Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical techniques! I teach ages 5-17 and I love those kids!!!!!!
